Barbara Jean Hicks

Barbara Jean Hicks, 84, of Sulphur, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026 in Crowley.  Her visitation will be Saturday, June 20, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home.  A graveside service will immediately follow at 1:30pm at Squyres-Risinger Memorial Park in Ragley.  

Barbara is survived by her son, Jeff Hicks & wife Lana; four grandchildren, Eddie LaFleur & wife Jordan, Greg Hicks, Tyler Ray & wife Alisha, and McKenzie Linscomb; six great-grandchildren, Mason LaFleur, Nora LaFleur, Hagen Ray, Cooper Ray, Maci Ray and Haleigh Ray; and a host of family and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth & Katherine Gateka, son Jason Hicks, and sister Mary Ann Wood.

The family would like to give a special thank-you to the wonderful staff at HighHope Care Center for taking such great care of Barbara for the years she was there.
