James Thomas Mayo

9/23/1944 – 9/14/2025

 

With great sadness we announce the passing of James Thomas “Tom” Mayo of Moss Bluff.  Born September 23, 1944, he went home to meet his Love, Jennifer P. Mayo, on Sunday, September 14, 2025.  Tom was born in Lecompte, LA, as an only child to Verda Mae and William Mayo. 

 

Tom is survived by his two daughters, Melissa Liggio & Vince, and Monica LeBlanc & Rick.  He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Dari & Chase Guillory, Cortni & Cody Granger, Tararra & Patrick Babaz, Randi & Dustin Collins, Briana & Kade LeMaire, and Ricky Steve LeBlanc; cherished great-grandchildren, Rhett, Briggs, Reid, Case, Austin, Aubree, Adley, Hartley, Grahm, Chloe, Sawyer, Hayes, Ezra, and Jude; cherished pet Jon Snow Mayo; and his childhood best friend, Mike Jenkins.

 

A private graveside service will be at a later date.

Ruby Mae Hill, 83, of Ragley, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at her home, surrounded by family.

 

Ruby is survived by four children, Tom Pope of Topsy, Patricia Wilbur & Earl of Moss Bluff, James Pope of Topsy, and Doug Pope & Joanie of Topsy; six grandchildren, Jamie Pope of Sulphur, Billy Pope of Sulphur, Gracie Pope of Iowa, Matt Pope of Colorado, Robert Wilbur of Ragley, and Michelle Wilbur of Topsy; two great-grandchildren, Allysa Williams of Lake Charles and Hunter Williams of Topsy; one great-great-granddaughter Kinzlee Williams of Topsy; three brothers, James Hill of Oregon, Sam Hill of Oklahoma, and Jack Hill of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Ethel Hill; husband and father of her children, Arthur Pope; husband Bill Rodriguez; grandson Earl Wilbur; great-grandsons Tylor Wilbur and Skylar Garza; one great-great-granddaughter, Skylar Williams; and two sisters, Rebecca Hill and Katherine Hill.
