Margaret was raised in Moss Bluff, Louisiana, and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1973. She attended Northeast Louisiana University and returned to Lake Charles. She then began her 35-year career as a Medical Transcriptionist in the Radiation Oncology Department at St. Patrick's Hospital where she touched many lives of patients and families. In 1994, she married Terry LeDoux of Dry Creek, Louisiana, becoming a loving, devoted, and amazing mother to Violet, Chris, and Amber. Margaret never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or holiday by sharing her generous spirit with those she loved. Of her many hobbies, taking care of her family and friends and spoiling her dogs were the ones she most treasured. Margaret also loved flowers and taking care of her yard, and could name every plant and flower she had.
Margaret is survived by three children, Violet Atkinson & Mark of Dry Creek, Chris LeDoux & Aimee LeJeune of Pineville, and Amber Foraker & Jonathan of DeRidder; nine grandchildren, Katie Hebert, Kaleb Atkinson, Kadence Skinner, Taylor Skinner, Canaan LeDoux, Raelan LeDoux, Adleigh Foraker, Amelia Foraker, and Abigail Foraker; five great-grandchildren, Olivia Hebert, Landri Hebert, Daven Atkinson, Eli Atkinson, and Tucker Atkinson; three siblings, Cindy Haman & Russell of Moss Bluff, Mark Anthony & Julie of Moss Bluff, and Susan Manuel & Troy of Moss Bluff; sister-in-law Vera Ackley of Lake Charles; brother-in-law Melvin LeDoux & Shelly of Jennings; two special aunts, Vercie Smith and Nancy Frerich; and a host of family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Orville & Helen Anthony; husband Terry LeDoux; and granddaughter Lasyn Hebert.
Margaret had the most generous spirit, giving annually to many local charities that she knew would help others. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to these charities that she knew helped others: St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Project Joy and Hope of Pasadena, Texas, Dry Creek Baptist Camp, and the Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue.
