Brenda Dodd Reed 9/07/1946 – 9/26/2021 Brenda Dodd Reed, 75, of Moss Bluff, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Brenda was born September 7, 1946 to Charles Dodd and DeJuana LeJeune Dodd. Brenda was a native of Oklahoma and a long-time resident of Lake Charles. She was the piano player at Topsy Baptist Church for 19 years. She enjoyed genealogy and spending time with family and friends. Brenda was a member of Daughters of the Confederacy and Daughters of the American Revolution. She will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her. Brenda is survived by her husband of 35 years, Edward Reed; sons Shannon Smith & Sandy of Moss Bluff, Derick Reed of Sulphur, and Shane Smith & Marcia of Ragley; daughters Shelly Bellon & Clint of Moss Bluff, and Shari Viator & Greg of Moss Bluff; grandchildren Nicole Mullins & Kendall, Kellee Viator, Kaitlyn Viator, Emma Reed, Grace Reed, Sophie Bellon, and Reed Bellon; great-grandchildren Aubree, Kennedy, and Lainey; siblings Charles Dodd, Paul Dodd, Dan Dodd, LaJuana Luckey, and LaDonna Atkinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles & DeJuana Dodd. Her visitation will start Thursday, September 30, at 5:00pm, and Friday, October 1, from 9am until time of service, at Topsy Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Friday, October 1, at 11am at Topsy Baptist Church. Interment will be at Prien Memorial Park. Revs. Charles Dodd III and Lloyd Carroll will officiate.
