Carroll Romero 11/12/1956 – 11/06/2019 Carroll Romero, 62, of Iowa, LA, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at his home. His visitation will be Friday, November 8, from 5-9pm, with a rosary at 7:00, at Heritage Funeral Home. His funeral service will be Saturday, November 9, at 1pm a St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau, LA. Interment will be at St. John Catholic Church Cemetery. Father Randall Moreau will officiate. Carroll was a carpenter for PPG Industries, where he retired after 31 years. He was also a member of their Emergency Response Team for 15 years. Carroll was a volunteer firefighter for Mermentau Fire Department for 15 years. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus in Crowley, LA. Carroll is survived by his wife of 12 years, Frances Toney Romero of Iowa; four children, Felicia Minter & Ricki of Iowa, Marcus Romero & Brandi of Sulphur, Patric Romero of Lake Charles, and Lacey Romero of Lake Charles; ten grandchildren, Mya Minter, Kalie Romero, Brayden Myers, Kade Romero, Layla Myers, Justin Minter, Kenzi Romero, Ayen Romero, Dane Romero, and Lauryn Manuel; three siblings, Deanna Lunson & Calvin of Egan, D.H. Romero & Marilyn of Gueydan, and Willard Romero of Morse; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eloi & Rose Romero; and his sister-in-law, Peggy Romero.
