Charlie Farnsworth Reeves
7/4/1930 – 2/17/2022
Charlie Farnsworth Reeves, age 91, passed away February 17th, 2022 peacefully in his home surrounded by his
loving family. He was born July 4th, 1930 in Moss Bluff, Louisiana to John and Azailee Reeves. He was a
devoted family man; loved helping others and was the self-appointed "neighborhood supervisor".
He was drafted into the Army and served in the Korean War. He served as a Senior Past Master for the Masonic
Lodge. Charlie retired from PPG after 35 years, working up to Shift Supervisor. He enjoyed telling stories,
many of which were to get a good laugh. Charlie loved anything outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman,
loved to spend time piddling in his shop, and loved to garden, growing things for family members and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children Brian Reeves of Moss Bluff, Debbie (Leon) Fast of Moss
Bluff; his sister Florence (Jenny) Reeves Powell of Moss Bluff; his grandchildren John Evans, Eric Evans,
Shawnya Fontenot, Tony Reeves, and Holly Clough; 8 great grandchildren; a host of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, late wife and mother of his children, Wanda Theriot Reeves; late wife
Wildred Roberts Reeves; daughter Karen Reeves; daughter in law Kim Reeves; and nine siblings.
The family will begin receiving friends at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Bluff, on Sunday February 20th,
2022 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. There will be a visitation, Monday February 21st, 2022 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. with
funeral services to begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Old Ritchie Cemetery. Rev. Billy Saxby will
officiate.
