Davis Miles Parker

Davis Miles Parker, 78, of Ragley, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 in Ragley. His
visitation will be Thursday, January 16, from 4-8pm, and Friday, January 17, from 9am until
time of service, at Magnolia Baptist Church in Ragley. Funeral services will be Friday, January
17, at 11:00am at Magnolia Baptist Church. Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery. Revs.
Mike Sanford and Carly Jackson will officiate.
Davis played a vital role in his community by teaching in the public-school system for 20
years. He worked two of those years at Singer High School, and the remaining time at South
Beauregard High School. Then he and his wife Delores started their own wood-working/arts &
crafts distributor business called D's Woodcraft, a dream of hers that he fulfilled by working
tirelessly for ten years. He then spent thirteen years working for the United States Postal
Service before officially retiring.
Davis is survived by his two children, Jennifer DuBose & husband Mark, and Jason Parker &
wife Kimberly; six grandchildren, Katrina Dickens & husband Caleb, Sara DuBose, Ethan
Parker, Sean Parker, Taylor Kellogg, and Kade Kellogg; five great-grandchildren, Carter
Parker, Caycee James Dickens, Harvey Jack Dickens, Clint Davis Dickens, and Laura Lynne
Dickens; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde & Shirley Parker; wife Delores Ann Wagnon
Parker; and brother Michael Parker.
