Elaine Sowada, 68, of LaPlace, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026 at her home. Her funeral services will be Wednesday, April 22, at 1:00pm, with a time of visitation from 10:00am until time of service, at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be at Old Ritchie Cemetery. Rev. Bill Saxby will officiate.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Milton "Buck" Sowada of LaPlace; two step-children; three brothers, Roy White & wife Ruth of Moss Bluff, Jimmy White of Ragley, and Terry White & wife Kathleen of Ragley; one niece, six nephews, and a host of family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie & Lucille White.
