Helen C. Millett Potts 3/09/1960 – 6/04/2024 Helen C. Millett Potts, 64, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024. She was born on March 9, 1960, and raised in Yazoo City, MS, but was a long-time resident of Moss Bluff, LA. For most of her adult life, Helen was a devoted, hardworking, single mom who gave her all to raising her four boys. As they were growing up, she was well known and loved by all of their friends, and was often referred to as "mom" by many. She took joy in cooking for those she loved and would open her home to anyone in need. Helen loved all things in nature; she loved to fish, loved music and most importantly had a strong faith in Jesus. Helen's memory will forever be cherished by her loving sons and their families; Thomas & Mandi Potts of Holmwood, LA, Chris & Kim Potts of Moss Bluff, LA, Michael Potts of Moss Bluff, LA, and Austin & Chasta Potts of Lake Charles, LA. Helen, lovingly referred to as "MawMaw", also had 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren whom she adored; she was so proud to tell anyone who would listen all about her grandbabies. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas O. Potts, Sr, her mother Lois Millet, and sister, Becky Sloop. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at CrossRoads Moss Bluff, 338 US 171, Moss Bluff, LA, on June 7th at 2p.m. Pastor Terry Ardizzone will officiate.
