Jace Paul Dixon 11/29/2004 – 4/24/2022 Jace Paul Dixon, 17, of Ragley, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 at his home. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 28, at 5pm, with a time of visitation starting at 4pm, at Open Door Baptist Church in Ragley. Revs. Sonny Simpson and James Rivers will officiate. Jace is survived by his parents, David & Faith Dixon of Ragley; brother Cade Dixon; maternal grandparents James & Suzie Rivers; paternal grandparents Joe & Merci Dixon; uncles and aunts, Paul Dixon, Karen Dixon, Bernard & Richelle LeJeune, Heather & Doyle Rivers, and Bryan & Angela Sims; and a host of family and friends. "O Lord, You have searched Jace and known him, You know when he sits down and when he rises up; You understand his thoughts from afar. You scrutinize Jace's path and his lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all his ways. Even before there is a word on Jace's tongue, behold O Lord, You know it all. You have enclosed Jace behind and before, and laid Your hand upon him. Such knowledge is too wonderful for us; it is too high, we cannot attain to it. Where can Jace go from Your Spirit? Or where can he flee from Your presence? If Jace ascends to heaven, You are there; if he makes his bed in Sheol, behold You are there. If Jace takes the wings of the dawn, if he dwells in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead Jace. And Your right hand will lay hold of him. If Jace says, "Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, and the light around me will be night, " Even the darkness is not dark to You, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You. For You formed Jace's inward parts; You wove him together in his mother's womb. I will give thanks to You, for Jace is fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works and my soul knows it very well. Jace's frame was not hidden from You when he was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen Jace's unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for him, when as yet there was not one of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to Jace, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When Jace awakes, he is still with You.
