James Thomas Landry, Jr. 6/20/1947 – 1/20/2025 James Thomas Landry Jr, 77, of Gillis, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 at his home. His Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, January 25, from 2-5pm at Heritage Funeral Home. James worked as a mechanic for the Ward4 Diesel Shop, and as a carrier for the Lake Charles American Press. He loved the outdoors: hunting, fishing, and camping. He also loved country music. But most of all, he loved playing with his grandchildren. James is survived by his wife, Barbara Avey Landry; two daughters, Regina Landry (and family), and Patricia Landry Fox & husband Danny; two granddaughters, Hayley Fox and Isabelle Fox; three great-grandsons, Bentley, Maverick and Braxton; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, J.T. & Enola Landry; daughter Carla Landry Byron; two sisters, Brenda Landry Vidrine and Patricia Landry Richard; and niece Sandra Richard.
