James Wade Myers

James Wade Myers, "The Tamale Man", 79, of Lake Charles, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at Lafayette
General Hospital.
James was born in Lake Charles. He was the son of Ernestine Touchet Myers and Henry Myers, Sr. James was
a graduate of Marion High School and McNeese State University with an Associate's Degree in Electronic
Technology. He was an Instrument Technician for Olin Corporation. His favorite hobby was making tamales,
which he did for the last 30 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory, brothers Ronnie Myers of Los Angeles, California, and Jerry Myers of Las
Vegas, Nevada; his loving ex-wife Karen Myers; three step-daughters, Gina Barnes, Farrah Ellender, and
Christina Hebert, all of Sulphur; nephew William Keith Powell, Sr. of Moss Bluff; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
A memorial service for James will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Bluff on Tuesday, January 22,
2019 at 6:00pm. Rev. Al Gist will officiate.
