John Freeman Conley 4/20/1936 – 2/07/2023 John Freeman Conley, 86, was born in DeRidder, Louisiana on April 20, 1936, to John Atwood and Virgie Cooley Conley. He passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at his home in Lake Charles. John was a graduate of Ragley High School, served in the United States Air Force from October 1954 through October 1958, and retired as Shift Superintendent at CITGO Refinery. He is survived by his wife, Judy Mouhot Conley; two sons, John Freeman Conley & wife Jeanene, and James "Jim" Freeman Conley & wife Paula; six grandchildren, Elisabeth, Ariel, Cameron, Trevor, Gavin, and Cullen Conley, all of Lake Charles; and one sister, Dorothy Shepherd of Oxford, Georgia. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. A time of visitation will be Friday, February 10, from 9:30am until time of service, with funeral services starting at 11:00am, at Heritage Funeral Home.
