John Kirby Lyles 05/14/1945 – 08/02/2020 John Kirby Lyles, 75, of Gillis, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at his home. A graveside service will be Friday, August 7, at 11am at Creel Cemetery. John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Lyles of Gillis; four children, Lisa Bdewi & Ahmad of Cypress, TX, Alison Evey of Ragley, Lori Lyles of Gillis, and Andrew Lyles & Ashley of Lake Charles; twelve grandchildren, Douglas Evey, Aaron Evey, Taylor Robertson, Kalil Bdewi, Mona Bdewi, Alexis Cormier, Xavier Fontenot, Kennedy Lyles, Cameron Fontenot, Karllie Lyles, Kaden Lyles, and Ayden Fontenot; eight great-grandchildren, Bayne Cormier, Carter Robertson, Journey Evey, Owen Cormier, Corbyn Robertson, Delaney Evey, Oakely White, and Dennver Evey; two siblings, Robert Lyles of Sulphur, and Beth Henderson of Sulphur; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, JD & Olive Lyles; two grandchildren, Tori Evey and Jabriel Bdewi; and two brothers, Jack Lyles, Jr. and James Lyles.
