Joyce Cleary 12/16-1937 – 01/18/2019 Joyce Cleary, 81, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 at her residence in Sulphur. Joyce was born and raised in Lake Charles, but spent time living in Florida, Las Vegas, Austin, and Germany before coming back to Lake Charles. She was a social butterfly and never met a stranger, which was an asset during her many years managing local restaurants. Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Gayle Higby & husband Jeffery of Katy, TX, and Tina Reeves of DeQuincy; one son, William R. Cleary of Sulphur; two grandchildren, Nikki Reeves and Caleb Reeves; four brothers, Clifton Reeves of Topsy, Wayne Reeves & wife Betty of Topsy, Mervin Reeves & wife Peggy of Topsy, and Pete Reeves & wife Marion of Moss Bluff; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Ruth Reeves; daughter, Phyllis Cleary; son-in-law, Randy Reeves; sister, Marie Gill, and brother, Ovie Reeves. The visitation will be Sunday, January 20, from 5-9pm at Heritage Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, January 21, at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home.
