Larry Wayne Craft

Larry Wayne Craft, age 79, passed away at his home in Longville, LA surrounded by family on Tuesday, June
27th, 2023. Cause of death is that of a broken heart from the loss of his loving wife, Anetha Craft, in 2021.
Larry grew up in Ragley, Louisiana, son of Willie Mace Craft Sr. and Dorthey Alena Kiser Craft.
Larry is survived by his brother, David Craft. Mr. Craft is preceded in death by his mother, father, and siblings:
Mace Craft Jr., Gerald Craft, Eldridge Craft, Frank Craft, Lucille Guidry, Darlene Skrine, and Gene Craft.
Mr. Craft is also survived by his sons, Christopher Wayne Craft and Kevin Ross Craft and his daughter,
Stephanie Jane Stanfield. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Abigail Laurent, Sam Stanfield, and Kyle
Craft.
Larry was a veteran who served four years in the Army. Larry proudly served in the United States ARMY
during in the Vietnam War as a pilot, where he earned several medals, including the Air Medal, National
Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Army Aviator Badge. He graduated in 1974 from
McNeese State University in the field of accounting. Larry would later return to the sky flying helicopters for
Air Logistics/Air Log throughout the Gulf of Mexico supporting the Oil and Gas Industry. He always enjoyed
working on and repairing vehicles. Throughout life Larry always enjoyed helping friends, family, and
strangers.
His memorial service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 1:00pm, with a time of visitation from 11am until
time of service, at Open Door Baptist Church in Ragley, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
