Linda Gail Derrick, 80, of Moss Bluff, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 in Lake Charles.  Her funeral service will be Saturday, January 24, at 2:00pm, with a time of visitation from 11:00am until time of service, at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be at Old Ritchie Cemetery.  Rev. Luke Liechty will officiate.  

Linda was born on July 21, 1945 in Lake Charles, to Agnes Childress Bryant of Mangham, and James Cecil Bryant of Clarks.  She leaves behind four children, James Derrick & Karon of Moss Bluff, Michael Derrick & Christine of Almo, KY, Christopher Derrick & Melissa of Moss Bluff, and Kelli Derrick & Dylan of Westlake; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three siblings, Nina Stryker of Houston, Charles Bryant & Kathy of Gunmetal City, TX, and James Bryant & Gayle of Clifton, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil & Agnes Bryant; husband Calvin Derrick; granddaughter Sarah Jo Derrick; and sister Phyllis Coker.

The family would like to thank the staff of Calcasieu Community Care Center and Brighton Bridge Hospice for their care, love and support.
