Marie Catherine Matte 02/24/1949 – 08/06/2020 Marie Catherine Matte, 71, of Moss Bluff, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 in Silsbee, TX. Her visitation will be Thursday August 13, from 2pm until time of service at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 13, at 6pm at Heritage Funeral home. Rev. Rocky East and Rev. Ken Sifford will officiate. Marie was kind and loving to everyone she met. She loved to travel the world, shop, and most importantly, spend time with her grandchildren. She worked at Faith Temple Daycare and Building Blocks Daycare, and she loved all her babies. She was a loving mother, and she stayed by her daughter's, Rachel, side until she passed away from her battle with Leukemia. Marie is survived by her two children, Michele Clack & Jerry of Moss Bluff, and Michael Matte of Juno, Alaska; three grandchildren, Tanner Clack, Jonathan Clack, and Jaclynn Clack; four siblings, Thomas Duggan & Helen of New Zealand, Ann Thompson & Philip of Punta Gorda, FL, Susan Whelan of London, England, and Michele Jenkins & Keith of Spain; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
