Michael Cunningham Vincent

Michael "Mike" Cunningham Vincent, 64, of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge.  Mike was born in Lake Charles on December 23, 1961, to the late Tonie Edward Vincent and Jo-Helen Cunningham Vincent.  

Mike grew up in LeBleu Settlement and proudly graduated with the class of '79 at Iowa High School.  He retired after 25 years from Capital One National Bank as Senior Field Examiner/Asset-Based Collateral Analyst, which required years of travel and organization.  Mike had an Associate's Degree in Banking and in Finance.  He also was a certified Notary Public since 1983.  He was a volunteer for Capital Area United Way since 2014.  He also volunteered for LSU Athletics Track and Field.  Mike enjoyed staying fit, completing his daily 5-mile run at LSU Lake.  He also took joy in his plants, landscaping, and his home.  He loved the finer things in life and had a good visual eye for it.  He also cherished true friendship and all the people he met through his journeys.  Mike remained independent and resourceful throughout his life, though he was grateful for the support of his friend MD Omar Faruk, and his little feline friend, Charlie. 

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother Patrick E. Vincent, and sister Diane Vincent Nugiba.  Those left to cherish his memory are his three sisters, Laurie "Lolly" Guillory & David of Moss Bluff, Millicent "Millie" Vincent White, and Jo-Helen "Joey" McFillen, both of Lake Charles, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, like his special longtime friend and confidant Brent Courville.  

HIs memorial service will be Friday, July 24, from 11:00am-3:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home.
