Peggy Riquelmy Sarver Carnahan

Peggy Riquelmy Sarver Carnahan, 88, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022
at her home. A memorial service will be Saturday, April 23, with the time of visitation from 11am-3pm. A
meal will be served at 12pm, and the service will start at 1pm, at Heritage Funeral Home.
Peggy was born on January 10, 1934, and was a native of Lake Arthur, Louisiana. She was a graduate of
McNeese State University and LSU with a Master's Degree in Special Education. After teaching for many
years in Louisiana, Peggy retired and moved to Colorado.
Peggy loved looking at the mountains. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed the company of her faithful friend,
Sue Fawcett, who traveled with her. She loved football. She was very smart and kind, and would give advice
whether you needed it or not. Peggy was very active and energetic; she loved shopping and decorating.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, Greg and Douglas Sarver. She is survived by three
sons, Gilbert Sarver of Noble, Louisiana, Robert Sarver of Broussard, and Buford Sarver of Reeves; one
daughter Kim Gray of Sunset, Louisiana; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of family
and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
