Sheila Ann Dimas
8/22/1965 – 7/31/2023
Sheila Ann Dimas, 57, of Moss Bluff, passed away, surrounded by family, Monday, July 31, 2023 in Houston.
After battling multiple health issues, she is finally at peace. Her visitation will be Friday, August 4, from 4-8pm
at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 5, at 9am at Heritage Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley. Rev. Glenn DuCharme will officiate.
Sheila was a fighter to the very end, and inspired others because of her tenacity and willpower. She was a loving
wife, mother, and friend. Sheila along with her husband, Joey, always had an open door for anyone in need.
She made her home a safe haven for many family members, friends, and children, and was always quick to give
tender motherly care. Sheila worked several years as a substitute teacher, and gladly stepped in to cover classes
for the long term if someone had to take a leave of absence. Along with the academic lessons, she also showed
the children lessons in compassion. She never turned a child away. Sheila would show the same care and
support to the most troubled children as any other child, if not more. Her thought was that, "some kids are
angry because there is no love in their home. If they can see a small glimpse of love, maybe it'll grow in their
hearts." She was always the talk of the hospital staff, because she had such a great sense of humor, and did her
best to be optimistic, even when she was in intense pain. Whenever she was an inpatient, she enjoyed receiving
and naming a stuffed animal, and would get the staff to greet it as well as herself. The wonderful qualities that
she exemplified led to her making an impact on people spanning regions and generations. She will truly be
missed by many.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Joseph Dimas of Moss Bluff; three children, Zackary Ball & Kayla of Texas,
