Susan Dianne Shattuck 12/25/1948 - 07/17/2021 Our loving mom, Susan Shattuck, went to be with Jesus early on Saturday July 17th, 2021 surrounded by family. Susan was born on Christmas day in 1948 at Camp LeJuene, North Carolina. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she loved them selflessly and passionately. Her memorial service will be Friday, July 23rd, 2021 at 4pm, with visitation from 1pm until 4pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Bluff, La. Susan graduated from Pacifica High School in 1967 in Garden Grove, California, attended Golden West Junior College – Huntington Beach, California, and graduated from Manley's Beauty College in Downey, California in 1968. She was a resident of Southwest Louisiana since 1976 after moving from California and then Gretna, Louisiana. Susan worked for Custom Metal Fabricators, Inc., for over 10 years and previously worked for The Pauley Corporation for over 10 years, as well. She is preceded in death by her husband Benny Cecil Hooper, her Parents, Willie Newton Deatherage and Adella Smith Deatherage Broome and Stepfather Clyde Broome and her Grandparents, James Wilmer Smith and Lydia Tippins Smith. Susan is survived by her son Scott D.W. Davis and wife Bobbi and Daughter, Alexandra P. Benoit and husband Zachary, sister Linda Hammac Ashley, 11 beautiful grandchildren: Genesis Olivia Davis, Grace Olissa Davis, Isabella Nicole Davis, Caleb Deval Davis, Aubree Faith Potts, Bentley Joseph Potts, Hayden James Bandeaux, Emmalee Renee Benoit, Abigail Faith Benoit, Everleigh Kate Benoit, and Kennedi Grace Benoit and nieces and nephew.
