Thomas Lee Washam 9/26/1948 – 10/16/2025 Thomas Lee Washam (Tom), at the age of 77, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 16, 2025, while in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life for Tom will be held on Saturday, November 15, at 1:00pm at the Sam Forse Collins Pavilion at Toledo Bend, at 233 Private Road 6066, Burkeville, TX, 75932. Tom was born in Bellville, Texas, on September 26, 1948, to Thomas Jefferson Washam and Alma Loraine Einkauf Washam. A retired veteran, Tom served in both the US Army and Louisiana National Guard until his retirement. Tom was an avid outdoorsman. He loved camping, hunting, and fishing. After retirement, he looked forward to being on the lake at first light, and loved seeing the sunsets on Toledo Bend, where he and Florence spent their time. Tom was preceded in death by parents, Thomas Jefferson and Alma Loraine Washam, and his sister Kitty Loraine Miller. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 49 years, Florence McDonald Washam, three daughters, Linda Leigh Whitley & husband Joseph of Lake Charles, Wynonna Lea Washam & fiancé Terrell of Lake Charles, and Tamara Lee Campbell & husband Kenneth of Odessa, TX, one granddaughter Chloe Estelle Walton of Lake Charles, three grandsons, Ira Walter Campbell, Blake Thomas Campbell, and Kenneth Ray Campbell, all of Odessa, and a host of family and friends.
