Wanda Sutton Barr

Wanda Sutton Barr, 89, of Moss Bluff, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2026 at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Her funeral service will be Monday, November 9, at 11:00am, with a time of visitation from 10:00am until time of service, at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be at New Ritchie Cemetery.

Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to John & Modean Ray, Wanda was the fifth of thirteen children. She worked as a beautician until her retirement. She loved gardening, baking, fishing, and traveling; she filled her life with music, from country to rock. A woman of Christian faith, she was cherished by all who knew her.

Wanda is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Sutton, her parents, and several siblings. She is survived by her son, James Sutton; daughters Jeanette Reppond & husband James, Charlene Milligan & husband Eddie Jr, and Glenda Hughes & husband Scott; ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several siblings, and a host of family and friends.
