Zackary Ryann Scarborough 12/07/1999 – 01/07/2021 Zackary Ryann Scarborough, 21, of Moss Bluff, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Lake Charles. His visitation will be Tuesday, January 12, from 1-3pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 12, at 3pm, at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be at New Ritchie Cemetery. Russell Lambert will officiate. Zack had a carefree spirit with a huge heart. He was a gallant protector especially with his two brothers and little sister. He shared an unconditional love with his mother that kept him close to home. Zack would say it was mostly her cooking that kept him home but that was just his tough guy front. He also had a close relationship with his dad, who was also his boss, so the days were full of constant jokes and jabs which was all fun and games until the joke or jab was directed at him, to which he would reply, "Why do we always gotta be tearing each other down?", shrugging it off with a chuckle and a smile our family will never forget. He had a love for music and would be seen most of the day with his headphones on, with only one ear covered so he didn't miss anything. Zack had always wanted to jump out of airplanes, which led him to the military. His greatest accomplishment was joining the United States Army and graduating from Army Airborne School. Zack will be dearly missed by those who loved him most, his parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Zach is survived by his parents Paul & Kristy Colombo of Moss Bluff; three siblings, Chase Scarborough, Jolie Colombo, and Pauly Colombo; maternal grandparents Danny & Donna Lambert of Lake Charles; paternal grandparents, Peggy & Darrell Thibodeaux of Moss Bluff; and Joe & Lee "Oma" Colombo of Washingtonville, NY; five uncles, Scott Lambert & Cary of Sandy, UT, Rusty Lambert & Ashley of Lavon, TX, Joe Colombo of Lake Charles, Steve Colombo of Lake Charles, and David Korn of Lake Charles; two aunts, Laurie Mills & Seth of New Caney, TX, and Sallee DeGraff of North Haldeon, NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
